Northeastern District CEU Event: Leading with Love in the Workplace (Gurnee)

Mark Ishaug will present his Ted Talk, “Leading with Love" and will discuss how love and compassion are good for leadership, employees, the organization and the clients. 

All courses offered through the NASW-Illinois Chapter meet the continuing education qualifications for LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, RNs, LPNs, APNs, and LCPs licensed in Illinois as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

Speaker: Mark Ishaug is the CEO of Thresholds. He has spent more than 25 years advocating for the rights of stigmatized and vulnerable people. He spent decades as a leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS as CEO of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. For the past five years, he has been at the helm of Thresholds, an innovative community-based service provider that serves more than 17,000 people with serious mental illnesses each year in nine Illinois counties. During his tenure at Thresholds, he has overseen explosive growth, but also a culture shift that embraces change, innovation, transparency, and yes – love. Mark holds an MA in Political Science from Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
