Northeastern District CEU Event: Heroin Education (Skokie)

This Northeastern District CEU event will educate attendees on the demographics of heroin users, signs, and symptoms of using heroin, current heroin statistics, Illinois laws, as well as a mother's personal story with her own daughter's heroin addiction.

All courses offered through the NASW-Illinois Chapter meet the continuing education qualifications for LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, RNs, LPNs, APNs, and LCPs licensed in Illinois as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

Speaker: PJ Newberg is director and founder of Northshore Secret Heroin Problem. She has personal experience with heroin as her daughter became addicted at age 16. PJ has presented at many North Shore high schools as well as to police departments and appearing in the media.
