Grisel Rodriguez-Morales (MSW, Loyola University Chicago; LCSW) is a clinical social worker with Health and Aging at Rush University Medical Center. She offers care coordination to adult patients from primary care clinics as well as outpatient psychotherapy services to older adults with affective disorders. Grisel received a Geriatric Partnership Program scholarship from the John A. Hartford Foundation and the Social Work Leadership Institute of the New York Academy of Medicine for her interest in aging as field of practice while attending Loyola University School of Social Work. The American Society on Aging (ASA) selected her to be a member of the class of 2011–2012 for its New Ventures in Leadership (NVL) program through which she developed a project targeting minority older adults in primary care. Grisel is currently collaborating with Rush University College of Nursing to provide faculty and students with the knowledge to work in inter-professional environments. Grisel provides cultural competency training to students and professionals to insure person-centered care. She has also developed and offered educational programs for staff members of primary care clinics as a way of ensuring a client-centered approach through an understanding of psychosocial issues affecting self-management.
