I will be hosting an event in March in celebration of Social Work Month. My event will be held on March 23rd from 9-12 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Please join me in learning about Laughter Yoga! 

Len Lempa LCSW - Founder fo Elgin Laughter Yoga Club will be presenting on the origin and background of Laughter Yoga. There will also be a 30 min interactive experiential session !

Debbie Brisebois LCSW will conitnue the theme of self care with her presentation on Fightinng Fatigue. Come join us to learn how to take better care of ourselves and learn new skills to teach your clients ! What a better way to celebrate Social Work Month : )

2018 Social Work Awards

There are 4 awards presented each year: Social Worker of the Year, Emerging Leader, Lifetime Achievement Award & Public Citizen of the Year.

Coming in April! Advocacy Day 2018 will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2018! The event will take place down at the Bank of Springfield Center in Springfield, IL. Join an anticipated 1,000 social workers and social work students from across the state to attend a half day of educational seminars on lobbying in Illinois. Participants will receive an Advocacy Day packet complete with legislative materials and tip sheets on lobbying. See the Advocacy Day page (LINK) for more information as it becomes available.
