NASW-IL Member Chasity Wells-Armstrong Wins Kankakee Mayoral Race

Congratulations to NASW-Illinois Chapter member Chasity Wells-Armstrong on winning her mayoral race in Kankakee, IL. A former NASW-Illinois Chapter Board Member who served as Calumet District Chair and most recently as vice-president, Chaz is Kankakee's first African-American mayor. She defeated two-term Republican mayor Nina Epstein in a close race of 1,918 to 1,703 votes. Please join us in congratulations of an NASW-Illinois Chapter member standing up and running for office!
