July 2012 - Jane Addams District Update
As the incoming NASW Illinois Chapter Jane Adams District Chair, I would like to extend a warm thank you to Joan Lodge for serving as our district chair for the last five years. When I moved from the West Central to the Jane Adams District five years ago, it was Joan who introduced me to colleagues in my new district. Joan has a special way of creating connections between social workers. During her term, Joan was diligent in recognizing the accomplishments of NASW members. She nominated two district members who won the Statewide NASW Illinois Chapter Social Worker of the Year award: Lynn Cadmus (2012) and Deborah Haliczer (2009). She also nominated two district members who won the Statewide NASW Illinois Chapter Lifetime Achivevement award: Frank Ware (2010) and Warren Heinke (2012). Jane Adams district members, please join me in thanking Joan for a job well done.
