Co-Sponsorship with NASW-IL

NOTE: Due to closures around the holidays, we will not be processing co-sponsorship applications from December 7th through January 2nd.

The National Association of Social Workers, Illinois Chapter has developed a procedure to approve programs for continuing education units (CEUs).

Organizations that do not have a Social Work Continuing Education Provider License are able to maximize the benefits of our co-sponsorship policy. Both obtaining and maintaining a provider license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) can be a timely and costly process for many. For those organizations that offer few workshops each year, or even for those who may have a provider license but do not have advertising dollars in their budget for their programs, co-sponsorship with the NASW-Illinois Chapter is the answer. Having the NASW-Illinois Chapter co-sponsor your continuing education event/conference provides your organization with many benefits not offered by other organizations in the social work field. Since NASW is the largest, most recognized name in the profession, we can connect you with over 7,000 social workers statewide in all fields of practice.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The NASW-Illinois Chapter reserves the right to reject applications for events that take place during the month of October and November.

Co-sponsorship with the NASW-Illinois Chapter Promotion includes the following:

  • NASW-Illinois Chapter completes the CEU legwork for you by submitting materials as a co-sponsor to the IDFPR and maintaining required records as necessary to comply with IDFPR regulations
  • Approval of a single workshop/training or multi-day conference--it does not cover repeating events which must be applied for separately for each occurrence
  • Discounted label rental with no minimum purchase required
  • Free listing in the NASW-Illinois Chapter events calendar
  • Processing of CEU certificates to Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Licensed Clinical Psychlogists, and School Social Workers (PELs, formerly Type 73s)
  • Our name and logo on advertising material for your event.

If you offer NASW-Illinois Chapter members a minimum of 10% discount on registration fees, we will promote in our monthly e-mail blast to members (time-permitting).
