Commitees
are an ongoing groups mandated by the bylaws of the association (Article IX, Section B) These committees focus on the longāterm needs of the association as identified by the Board of Directors and the strategic plan. A committee must have a direct charge from the Board of Directors to accomplish long term and ongoing needs of the Board of Directors.
Executive Commitee
Committee consisting of officers of the board only.
Finance Commitee
Committee consisting of the Treasurer and selected members to review the financial reports of the association. Interested members should contact the office if interested in serving on the Finance Commitee.
Chapter Committee on Nominations & Leadership Identity (CCNLI)
Commitee consisting of selected past leadership and members with the charge of identifiying members to run/slate for the next round of elections. This commitee is by invitation only.
Chapter Ethics Committee
Commitee considers complaints of alleged violations of the NASW Code of Ethics, an employer's personnel standards, or the right of social workers to professional action on behalf of clients. Committee on Diversity and Cultural Competence
Commitee provides opportunities for professional growth and cross-cultural exchange while addressing issues and policies of the Chapter with respect to its diverse membership. Interested members should contact the office if interested in serving on the Commitee on Diversity and Cultural Competence.
Membership Committee
Commitee works on improving membership benefits and recruitment. Interested members should contact the office if interested in serving on the Membership Commitee.
Political Action Committee (PAC)

Legislative Committee
Commitee recommends the annual legislative agenda to the NASW IL Chapter Board (approved at the November Board of Directors meeting), works with NASW IL legislative consultant and Executive Director in responding to legislation.
