  • Events & Education Coordinator - NASW-Illinois Chapter
    The events and education coordinator position plays an integral role in the NASW-Illinois Chapter’s mission to provide quality and affordable continuing education and networking opportunities to our members both live virtually and in person. Position will manage events for the chapter from the ground up, including (but not limited to) securing presenters and venues, scheduling, registration, registrant management, day-of event moderation, and recording.   • Staff Therapist - The Community House
    The Community House is seeking an LPC/LCPC or LSW/LCSW who is passionate about and committed to helping people. This full-time position will provide individual and group therapy services to children, adolescents and families from our offices and may also operate in collaboration with local school districts. Position Responsibilities: Conduct phone intakes and complete documentation. Provide on-going assessment and psychotherapy services to assigned clients in-person, utilizing telehealth platforms, and in school settings. Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities to provide counseling services in individual, group and family settings Knowledge and experience using DSM-5 to make clinical diagnoses. Provide psycho-educational presentations and skill building groups as assigned. Documentation: Maintain timely and appropriate clinical and administrative documentation Follow the ACA Code of Ethics Ability to work evenings to accommodate client needs Participate in organizational and community events to promote The Community House counseling services and programming as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications LCSW/LCPC preferred, LSW/LPC with at least 1year of clinical experience Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology or similar, from an accredited program with a valid Illinois license (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment) experience providing mental health services to adolescents required. Desired Requirements: An effective communicator who creates a good first impression and earns the trust of others, relating well to people from varied backgrounds Experience and passion working with youth, and families from diverse backgrounds Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. A valid Illinois driver's license and transportation between sites is required.
