2025 NASW-ILLINOIS CHAPTER ADVOCACY DAY

This year's annual NASW-Illinois Chapter Advocacy Day has been announced for Wednesday, April 9, 2025! This year's Advocacy Day will take place in-person at the Illinois State Capitol Building in Springfield, IL, and utilize last year's restructured format. Participants will be led by trained NASW-Illinois Chapter Lobby Leaders who will work to schedule meetings with your elected officials and lead you through strategies for effective lobbying on the day of. Participants will be expected to attend a 30-minute pre-event virtual training that will briefly walk you through the anticipated bills up for vote the week of Advocacy Day; those who cannot participate in the live training will be able to access a recording of training.
Come learn about current emerging issues in the state of Illinois as well as up-to-the-minute legislation up for vote this spring in Illinois. Unite your voices with hundreds of other social work colleagues on issues that affect the social work profession!
Please note: This year's new format for Advocacy Day will NOT allow for issuing of CEUs.
