Earn CEUs with NASW-IL
All courses offered through the NASW-Illinois Chapter meet the continuing education qualifications for LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LCPCs, LMFTs, RNs, APNs, LCPs, and LMFTs licensed in Illinois as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). NASW-IL is also an Illinois State Board of Education–approved licensed professional development provider for PELs (formerly Type 73s) for school social workers.
The NASW-Illinois Chapter fulfills its mission of advancing the professional knowledge base of social workers by delivering state-of-the-art continuing education at the chapter office training center, virtually, and in districts across the state. The educational workshops provide an excellent opportunity for social workers to exchange ideas and information with colleagues and build professional relationships.

Requesting Old CEU Certificates
All CEU certificates for NASW-Illinois Chapter courses should be sent via e-mail or mail within 45 days after the event. Need another copy of a CEU certificate? There is a replacement fee for duplicate CEU certificate requests. Click here for pricing and to request a duplicate CEU certificate.
Where are NASW-IL continuing education (CEs) accepted?
The NASW-Illinois Chapter is an approved provider of continuing education for the following professions in Illinois: Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Licensed Clinical Psychologists, and School Social Workers (PELs). Additionally, we are accepted providers for continuing education by the social work licensing boards in our sister state chapters, Nevada and North Dakota.
While NASW-Illinois Chapter continuing education is accepted in many states, ultimately you will need to verify with your state board if education provided by the NASW-Illinois Chapter is accepted by your state board.
Event Cancellation Policy
While we understand that emergencies do occur, once a participant has been registered and is expected to attend a course, the NASW-Illinois Chapter has already factored that person’s attendance into costs already absorbed by the chapter.
